Theatre Evening: Sweet Adaptation & Creative Deconstruction

It is hard to believe but we are (at last) at the point of performance for our amazing theatre pieces.

It has been the craziest of times but we have been patient (and a little stir crazy - which will hopefully feed our creative drive).
Thank you so much for supporting us when we were originally going to perform our pieces; it genuinely is a beautiful thing that I am so grateful for.

Below are our new dates.

5KINDS & MEMORY OF WATER on the evenings of July 23rd & 24th (Thurs & Fri), from 7pm.

IF YOU FLOAT on the 30th & 31st of July (Thurs & Fri), from 7:30pm.

If you paid for tickets already and cannot make these dates, I will of course give you a full refund.

Finally, I am offering a Post-Covid Discount. Tickets are now 350 THB*.

*(if you paid already, you can either receive the funds for the outstanding amount, or you can put the surplus towards cocktails on the evening).

The theatre performances are a pre-opening as we will still be continuing with our fabulous renovation and building work.
This means that food will not be available I am afraid, but we will be offering drinks, amidst the chaos of our creative construction - all very dramatic.

A reminder of the work we are presenting:

found space {creative] and den of dionysus are extremely excited to be holding our third theatrical event on the island - once more we shall be celebrating the results of an in-depth, challenging performance course through four evenings of theatre.

This time, successfully published plays were our starting point. These were then creatively adapted, abridged and deconstructed to provide an even more challenging performance goal for the students.

The result of all of the glorious hard work is three shortened, impactful plays - plays that contrast in style, tone and purpose.

5KINDS
A play that begins in darkness and fights desperately to find a way to light; a traumatic tale of family abuse and the path to each women's release.

MEMORY OF WATER
A comedy drama that centres around three sisters who return home to bury their mother. A tale of grief, sibling rivalry, dark secrets and 'special' cookies.

IF YOU FLOAT
A female driven political piece that focuses upon the Salem Witch Hunts. Heightened drama is mixed with music, movement and multi-role, to both challenge the audience and highlight the plight of the innocent humans ensnared within a destructive and dehumanising system.
