Plai Laem will appeal to those who do not seek a beach holiday in the classic sense. The coast is uncrowded, located in the north of the island. Basically there are poor resorts, industrial buildings and fishing houses. The bottom of the sea is covered with silt and small stones, not suitable for swimming. The coast is mostly dirty, not cleaned, and the beach is not popular with tourists. Almost no entertainment, houses are rarely built, but there is a choice. The infrastructure of the area is below average, there are only the most necessary services such as rental equipment and laundries. Very close are the main attractions of the island and the airport.
