WHAT IS HATHA YOGA?

Hatha is a Sanskrit word that can be broken down into two smaller words: ha, meaning “sun,” and tha, meaning “moon.”

The practice of Hatha yoga focuses on total mastery of the physical body, including all bodily functions. It also emphasizes activating the chakras in order to stimulate kundalini and promote spiritual and physical wellness, including disease elimination.

Through the practice of Hatha yoga, the individual attempts to balance the mind, body and chakras through specific asanas and controlled, meditative breathing that complements the physical movements of the body.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
1hr 15 min gentle but strong practice SUITABLE FOR ALL LEVELS beginning with breathing and meditation and ending with a complete rest to bring the body back to a peaceful resting state before dinner.

"Lokah Samasta Sukhino Bhanavu" is a beautiful mantra that means May all living beings be happy and free and may my thoughts and actions always support this cause.  This is one of our favorite mantras and seemed fitting to use the same Sanskrit words in a shortened version to describe "a place of happiness and bliss."
